Comcast Business Mobile (CBM) offers wireless plans and device management tailored for business needs. While CBM leverages many elements from the Xfinity Mobile ecosystem, the enterprise context called for more scalable, utility-driven interfaces. Our goal was to modernize three core experiences, Device Details, Bring Your Own Device (BYOD), and the Mobile Device Overview to better align with CBM’s design system and support enterprise-level clarity.

πŸ” The Problem

CBM's device management tools were adapted from Xfinity Mobile, but the UI didn’t translate well for business users. Key workflows like checking device status, managing returns, or activating a new phone felt disjointed and visually inconsistent. The UI lacked responsiveness, critical data was buried, and interactions didn’t reflect the needs of IT teams managing fleets of devices. We needed to redesign these pages using the CBM design system, while preserving the familiarity of Xfinity’s flow.

πŸ› οΈ Solution

We reimagined the Device Details, BYOD, and Mobile Device Overview screens with enterprise users in mind. I adapted existing Xfinity UI patterns and rebuilt them using CBM’s design system foundations. This included:

  • A responsive layout built for both desktop and mobile

  • Streamlined info hierarchy for faster scanning of device data

  • Modular cards and tables for easier system-wide reuse

  • Clearer CTAs for high-priority actions like returns, exchanges, or SIM activation

Each screen was prototyped in Figma using real world data examples, stress-tested against edge cases, and refined in weekly reviews with product and engineering stakeholders.

πŸ“ˆ Outcome

βœ… More intuitive data layout enabled faster decision-making for business users

βœ… Reusable components laid groundwork for scalable device management tools

βœ… Improved visual hierarchy made it easier to scan and compare devices

βœ… CBM team used our work as a reference for future enterprise-focused pages

βœ… Responsive design improved usability across sales, support, and IT teams

🎯 My Role

Product Designer
I led UX and UI design across the device management flows, adapted legacy Xfinity layouts into CBM’s system, and collaborated closely with product and engineering to ensure feasibility and visual consistency.

πŸ”§ What I Did

🎨 Translated Xfinity designs into CBM’s design system

πŸ” Audited existing screens and mapped new content structure

πŸ“ Built responsive Figma layouts with reusable, documented components

🀝 Collaborated with dev teams on edge cases and mobile behavior

πŸ“ Designed detailed handoff specs and microcopy for each step of the journey

πŸ”„ What I’d Do Differently

With more time, I would’ve pushed to validate early wireframes with end users in IT or operations roles. While stakeholder input helped us align on business goals, user feedback could have revealed deeper pain points around device tracking and activation logic.

Appointment Booking

A legacy salon and spa platform needed future-ready flows to win back an enterprise client. I redesigned key appointment and payment experiences to reduce friction and rebuild trust.

Sporttrade

A fast-moving startup reimagining sports betting as a stock trading experience needed internal tools to help market operators manage real-time game data accurately, efficiently, and at scale.

Thrive TRM

To grow into the enterprise market, Thrive needed a more cohesive design system. I helped build a scalable UX foundation and redesigned core flows to support faster, smarter recruiting.
